Alcohol Survivor is a film created by high school learners from IkamvaYouth Masiphumelele, Cape Town. It explores the real life stories of people living with diabetes and shows what it’s like to deal with this condition every day.
The film presents unfiltered accounts from Masiphumelele and Fish Hoek, exposing how alcohol abuse fuels unemployment, domestic conflict, and personal struggles. Through unfiltered voices, the film reveals hardships faced by communities and the struggle to curb addiction and instability. Produced by high school learners, it provides a powerful look at real lives affected by a widespread issue.
