A new Eh!woza animation in collaboration with artist, Mitchell Gilbert Messina, and postgraduates from the MRC/NHLS/UCT Molecular Mycobacteriology Research Unit (MMRU). The animation acts as a reminder, that as restrictions are beginning to ease and the majority of the economy is opened up, COVID-19 is still very much present in our day to day lives. We should attempt to avoid large events and crowds, particularly indoors, in order to not only to protect ourselves, but also the most vulnerable in our communities. It also serves as a reminder that careless behaviour may lead to a second wave of coronavirus infections, contributing to more deaths as well as further economic decline.
