Inequality in Global Health is a film by high school learners from Makhaza, Khayelitsha, who responded to UCT professors and challenged the typical images of poverty and disease often used to represent poorer countries within the global health framework. The film exposes skewed portrayals that tend to ignore deeper-rooted issues, like inequality and lack of healthcare access, that shape our public perception and policy.
This documentary film was shot and edited by three high school learners from IkamvaYouth Makhaza as part of the Eh!woza Learner Doccies programme.
