Locked In: The Weight of Chronic Illness is a short documentary made by Grade 10 and 11 learners from Masiphumelele and Ocean View in Cape Town. Through a series of first-hand accounts, the film examines the lived realities of people living with chronic illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, and gout. The stories portray the emotional toll of illness, the failures of care, and the quiet persistence of those trying to manage their health in difficult conditions.
