An Eh!woza animation in collaboration with artist, Mitchell Gilbert Messina showing how three of the approved COVID-19 vaccines work. This information is especially relevant today as the first person in the world is vaccinated with the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in the UK and vaccine hesitancy becoming more widespread globally as vaccines are becoming available. The animation describes how this and the Moderna mRNA vaccines work to safely protect people against COVID-19. The Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine, which uses a different scientific approach of a viral vector, is also briefly described. The animation has been simplified for clarity.
