The Cancer We Didn't See follows the journey of a woman from rural Eastern Cape as she navigates years of misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, and the realities of living with cancer in an overstretched public health system.
Through interviews with family and community members, the film examines the personal and systemic costs of medical neglect, while quietly charting her path through illness, resilience, and recovery. Produced by youth from the Xhora Mouth region, the film offers a grounded, unsentimental portrait of endurance in the face of institutional failure.
