Access to healthcare in remote rural South Africa is hindered by difficult terrain and failing infrastructure. In rural South Africa, crossing rivers and travelling long distances define the struggle to reach essential medical services. The establishment of the Bulungula Health Point in 2012 marked a turning point for healthcare delivery in the Xhora Mouth region. This is a story of struggle and hope for better healthcare.
