Vaccinate to Protect Yourself and Others: Vaccines protect you from getting sick 🤧🛡️😷 by making your body immune to the disease 🦠🤺. But it doesn't stop the germs (SARS-CoV-2) from spreading 🌬️🌪️ until enough people have been immunised against it 🌪️💥🙅🏽♀️🙅🏿♂️🙅🏼♂️🙅🏾♀️. If everyone gets vaccinated it reduces how many people can get sick and spread the germs 🧮📉 because the spread from person to person is unlikely 🤼♂️. If everyone gets vaccinated community (herd) immunity is achieved because almost everyone is protected 🌍🌈 Community (herd) immunity makes it possible to protect even those who can't be vaccinated (such as immunocompromised individuals 👵🏽 and newborns 👶🏾) because enough of the community is immune to the disease and germs cannot spread to them as easily 🦠⤵️🗑️.
